Jerry Wilson was a professional football player and weightlifting coach.

Wilson played offense and defense for the Auburn Tigers football team during their 1957 championship year and was selected as an All-Southeastern Conference player in 1958. He was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 1959 NFL draft and started at defensive end for the Eagles during their 1960 championship season. He was traded to San Francisco before a stint on active duty in the Vietnam War. When he returned he played for two years with the Canadian Football League's Toronto Argonauts before retiring from the game.

Wilson then spent nine years as a weightlifting coach for wheelchair athletes at the Lakeshore Rehabilitation Center in Homewood. He was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame's Class of 2008.
