The Birmingham Zoo has welcomed a new feline member to its collection of animals. The jaguar is one of the largest cats and there is an estimated 15,000 left in the world. Khan is a three year old male and was born at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens. He will be taking over the old gorilla exhibit in the primate exhibit. Khan enjoys basking in the water in his new home and can be found frequently pacing against the glass barrier between his home and the patrons. Patrons also have the opportunity to learn more about jaguar conservation and what they can do to help the species survive!
