Martha Ivey is a doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. She is the owner and founder of Alabama Oriental Medical Arts located on 37th Street South. She works to ease aches, pains, tensions, fatigue, disease symptoms, and infertility with acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine as well as Qi Gong.

Ivey is also a member of the Birmingham Paleontological Society and is an avid art collector specializing in Asian artifacts, contemporary photography, and contemporary painting. Ivey initially moved to Birmingham from San Diego to further her studies with John Bright-Fey at the Blue Dragon Academy.
