Center Point's mayor is Tom Henderson, still serving as Center Point's first mayor since being elected on April 23, 2002. He was re-elected in 2004. In 2008, Henderson defeated challenger Frederick Burkes with 86% of the vote. In 2012, Henderson ran unopposed.
