Muzaffar Iqbal Sheikh was a long-time teacher of world history and girl's soccer coach at Vestavia Hills High School.

Sheikh was born and raised in Pakistan and graduated from Gordon College, Rawalpindi where he was a star member of the All-Pakistan Inter-Collegiate Debate Team. He came to the United States for graduate study in 1968. After earning a double master's degree, he became a member of the first faculty when Vestavia High School opened in 1970.

In 2000 Sheikh was named "Metro Coach of the Year" in the Birmingham News All-State Soccer selections. In 2001 his Vestavia girl's soccer team won the state 6-A championship.

Sheikh retired from teaching in 2005.

Sheikh's son Qasim is the head coach of the men's soccer team at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
