New Beginnings United Methodist Church is a congregation of the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church it is located at 2133 32nd Avenue North. It was established on January 1, 2013, by the merger of three historically African American congregations: Douglasville United Methodist Church, Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church, and Wright’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Its current building was erected in 1989 as the home of Wright’s Chapel.
