2229 1st Avenue South is a two-story building constructed in 1891 as either a boarding house for railroad workers or as a brothel. By 1904 it was used by the Magic City Casket Co. and later housed the Child Furniture Co. Moore Co. and SoMo Galleries (1989-)

The building is currently home to the Davidson Design Group.
