Oliver (born June 14, 1980 in San Diego, California) is a male Sumatran orangutan at the Birmingham Zoo.
Oliver is the son of Otis and Bubbles, both living at the San Diego Zoo. He was loaned to the San Francisco Zoo in April 1981 and formally acquired by that institution in December 1986. He was transferred to Birmingham in February 1987.
Oliver was joined by Lipz, a female and potential mate who arrived from the Milwaukee Zoo in 2007. Their first child, a female, was delivered by caesarean section in December 2011.
