The Birmingham Zoo has recently updated its Red Diamond Express Train to the Pirate Red Diamond Express Train Ride! Patrons are encouraged to ride the train to get a glimpse at all the zoo’s exhibits and even see a few animals! Anyone at any age can take a ride and see life size animatronic pirates along the train tracks. The purpose of this new attraction is to raise awareness on water conservation. You can enjoy this ride from May 6th, 2017 through January 1st, 2018. The cost is $3.50 plus tax and the train runs 9am to 4:45pm Monday through Friday and 9am to 6:45pm Saturday and Sunday.
