The shop opened in 2005 and serves several varieties of donuts and pastries, all of which are made on-site. The shop also sells fresh donuts at Gunter Oil's 3 Power Mart Food Stores in Trussville.
Pop Donuts formerly operated a store at 1851 Montgomery Highway, Suite 111 in Hoover. After it closed, Donut Joe's opened a Hoover store in the same location.
