Ron Ingram (born 1952) was a sports reporter and columnist for the Birmingham News, mainly covering high school sports, and serving as the high school sports editor at his departure in 2007. He now works for the Alabama High School Athletics Association in Montgomery as communications director.

Ingram grew up in Brundidge and lettered in three sports at Pike County High School. He went on to attend Troy State University and the University of Alabama, graduating in 1974. He joined the News in 1984, working for Sports editor Neal Sims.

Ingram won the Herby Kerby Award from the Alabama Sports Writers Association in 1987, and was named that group's Bill Shelton Sports Writer of the Year in 2006.
