Alberta Shields Elementary School, formerly East Birmingham Colored School, was an elementary school operated by Birmingham City Schools at the corner of 12th Avenue North and Escambia Street, at what is now W. C. Patton Park in the North Avondale neighborhood of East Birmingham.

The school was in use prior to 1926. It was named in honor of long-time principal Alberta Shields.

After it closed, the school building was converted into the Shields Conference Center.
