Southern District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod is the regional body of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod that includes Alabama. It was created in 1881 and its offices are in Sidell, Louisiana.
Birmingham-area congregations include:
- First Lutheran Church
- Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Gardendale
- Lutheran Church of Vestavia Hills
- St Paul Lutheran Church
- Trinity Lutheran Church
- Unity Lutheran Church
- Zion Lutheran Church, Bessemer
Congregations were formerly part of the district but have closed include:
- Atonement Lutheran Church, Pelham
- Concordia Lutheran Church, Huffman
- Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Shelby County
- Hope Lutheran Church
