The Summit Fire Department is a volunteer fire department operating from 79094 U.S. Highway 231 in the Blount County community of Summit. It was established on June 20, 1980 and serves approximately 500 households.
In March 2016 fire chief Paula Robertson was arrested and charged with embezzling thousands of dollars from the department.
