Birmingham Green

  • I might be mistaken, but I thought that the Green was extended from 20th Street North southward to the Five Points area within the last decade. That's why I only linked to it from this article when I created it. --Wheresdib 11:57, 27 February 2007 (PST)
  • You may be right. In which case we might distinguish between the original project and the extension in the text of the two 20th street articles. My thinking was that there was such an overlap that it made sense to discuss the project in the street article. However, besides the overbleed into 20th St S, there is also the strange result that "20th Street North" shows up in the Category:1973 works. Lets both keep our minds open to the best solution. --Dystopos 12:14, 27 February 2007 (PST)

Tutwiler Hotel

  • I thought that the Tutwiler Hotel was on the east side of the street (where the Regions Plaza, their old HQ, is now). The 430 street address puts it on the west side, where the Wachovia Tower is now. --Wheresdib 15:43, 7 March 2007 (PST)
The 430 address came from a 1946 Jaycee's promotional directory. Pretty much any other solid reference is more likely to be correct... if we have one. --Dystopos 15:57, 7 March 2007 (PST)
  • I'll walk by the monument tomorrow (maybe I'll remember to take my camera) and see if it has any references to it. --Wheresdib 17:21, 7 March 2007 (PST)
