I loved the BAA when I first joined in the mid 1980's.  I was the youngest member and Armor Keller put me in my first show there. It was when the Birmimgham Museum of Art was in the old part only and they allowed the BAA to have its exhibitions in the basement. Coincidentally, because of my age they all called me the kid.
