*I found a [http://www.jeffcosheriff.org/page.php?p=history reference] that said Sheriff Smith's arrest warrant was issued on December 9, which was a Sunday, and says the mob occurred on a Saturday. Since the bodies were discovered on December 4 (according to the [http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/index.html?year=1888&country=1 website] I found that should be a Tuesday, not a Monday), then Throckmorton would have died on December 8. Date of Riot?
The only online reference I can find says that the riot happened on a Saturday night but doesn't give a date. Any help? I'd like to do the article on the slain postmaster Maurice Throckmorton. --Wheresdib 19:16, 24 August 2007 (PDT)
- I found a reference that said Sheriff Smith's arrest warrant was issued on December 9, which was a Sunday, and says the mob occurred on a Saturday. Since the bodies were discovered on December 4 (according to the website I found that should be a Tuesday, not a Monday), then Throckmorton would have died on December 8. --Wheresdib 20:54, 24 August 2007 (PDT)
