Things like somebody's birth or somebody's election to office are only indirectly related (but Wallace's inauguration speech, because of its content, is directly related). --[[User:Dystopos|Dystopos]] 19:55, 17 November 2009 (PST)

What to post

  • I think this timeline should stick to events with a direct bearing on the progress of the civil rights movement. Things like somebody's birth or somebody's election to office are only indirectly related (but Wallace's inauguration speech, because of its content, is directly related). --Dystopos 19:55, 17 November 2009 (PST)

Idea

  • At some point it might be worth considering the idea of breaking this out by categories (perhaps color coded on a timeline chart??) distinguishing actions taken by government officials, civil rights activists, non-governmental anti-integration groups, etc, --Dystopos 12:10, 27 February 2011 (PST)
