Library

The story of Phillips founding the library comes from the Encyclopedia of Alabama, which seems to have gotten it from Cruikshanks-1920. The 1884 City Directory lists a "Birmingham Library Association" headed by John Tomers with some big-wigs on the board and rooms on the north side of 2nd between 19th & 20th. --Dystopos 18:31, 24 June 2014 (PDT)
