In [[Pete's Famous Hot Dogs]], I tried to add a link to the address using "<nowiki>{{Locate_address_inline | address=1925+2nd+Ave+N}}</nowiki>".  Unfortunately, this resulted in a link to Google Maps asking if I wanted that address for 35203 or 35210.  The template does not have a ZIP code parameter because it is seldom needed and there is no good default value.  I was able to hack the template by including the ZIP code in the "state" parameter (i.e. "<nowiki>{{Locate_address_inline | address=1925+2nd+Ave+N | state=AL,+35203}}</nowiki>").  So if anyone else runs into this problem, there is the solution.  If/when we get the "#if" syntax working, it will be possible to add an optional "zip" parameter to this template. --[[User:Lkseitz|Lkseitz]] 09:34, 16 May 2007 (PDT)

ZIP code bug

In Pete's Famous Hot Dogs, I tried to add a link to the address using "{{Locate_address_inline | address=1925+2nd+Ave+N}}". Unfortunately, this resulted in a link to Google Maps asking if I wanted that address for 35203 or 35210. The template does not have a ZIP code parameter because it is seldom needed and there is no good default value. I was able to hack the template by including the ZIP code in the "state" parameter (i.e. "{{Locate_address_inline | address=1925+2nd+Ave+N | state=AL,+35203}}"). So if anyone else runs into this problem, there is the solution. If/when we get the "#if" syntax working, it will be possible to add an optional "zip" parameter to this template. --Lkseitz 09:34, 16 May 2007 (PDT)
