The Barking Kudu was a 6,000 squre foot bar and grill located at 2929 7th Avenue South from 2002 to 2013. It was owned by attorney Crawford Williams and bar manager Karl Dover.

Williams, an avid big game hunter, named the bar for a large African antelope which "barks in the dark" seeking a mate. The mounted head of a kudu Williams killed in Zimbabwe was displayed in the bar, along with several other trophies prepared by Demopolis taxidermists Don and Jane Capps.

The bar featured two patios, one covered and one open, along with a main room and a back bar with a large-screen television. A kitchen was added in 2010.

The Barking Kudu closed in 2013.
