The Pita Stop is a Lebanese-American restaurant located in the Pita Stop building at 1106 12th Street South in Southside. It was opened in 1977 by Moneer Akawi. It was sold before 2000 and reincorporated by Nadim Shunnarah.

Shunnarah and Jamal Abu Sued opened a second Pita Stop Express location at 3908 Crosshaven Drive in Cahaba Heights during the first weekend of November 2010. The conversion from a former Hardee's restaurant was planned by Black Design Architecture to seat 120 with a bar and patio. Maxus Construction was general contractor.
