photographs

• Great new articles blossoming! With the addition of the Windham Building to the list, I believe BhamWiki now has the most comprehensive catalog of Wallace Rayfield's works anywhere. Excellent!

Just to make sure you are fully aware, any photographs uploaded to BhamWiki need to be released under the Creative Commons Atrribution ShareAlike 2.5 license (See Bhamwiki:Copyrights). I noticed that the Windham Building photo contains a copyright notice. It's fine to leave that there as a precaution as long as you understand that any user finding the image on BhamWiki will be able to re-use it under the terms of the Creative Commons license. Thanks John. Any images I upload here are my own and I have no issue with others using, I am just glad to help illustrate the hometown!

highways

I am about to dive into more of the major roads and add articles to as many as I can, but I would like to ask if instead of using simply I-59 or Highway 11 that we should use Interstate 59 or U.S. Highway 11 for the main article pages. I do not know how much of an issue this will, so just let me know what you think - Chris

• I haven't thought the issue through completely. My first thought was to keep the names as simple as possible, but now that I think about it there's probably no way around using the full names. I encourage you to proceed with whatever seems most appropriate to you and we'll redirect and disambiguate as required. I'd love to see a clear guide on BhamWiki to the distinctions between US 31, Red Mtn Expressway, Elton B. Stephens Expressway, Carraway Boulevard, Montgomery Highway, Bee Line Highway, etc etc. Ultimately those will all probably have their own articles, but maybe only categories for US31, US280 and the surface street parts of Old Montgomery Highway and Carraway Boulevard. --Dystopos 15:32, 13 July 2006 (PDT)
• For what it's worth, I agree with Chris. (Hi, nice to "meet" you.) Although I've created articles using the short names, I only did so because I was following the examples of previously created articles. I would prefer full names be used. Where there are shorter names, redirect pages can easily be created. The multiple names of U.S. 31 are a whole other issue and I've sadly helped make it the mess that it is. --Lkseitz 07:19, 17 August 2006 (PDT)
