Vulcan (born May 25, 2011 at the Birmingham Zoo) is a male lion, one of a litter of five cubs born to Kwanzaa and Akili. The others are Asha, Baron, Kimba, and Lily.
In 2012 Vulcan and his brother, Baron, were relocated to the Montgomery Zoo. At the time he went on exhibit in October of that year, he weighed 273 pounds. In April 2014 both lions were transferred to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City, Utah.
