Wynter Dobbins

Wynter Mariah Dobbins (born January 29, 2014) is a girl who was born at home during the 2014 winter storm.

Wynter was the third child born to Darshay Jones and her boyfriend of six years, Byron Dobbins. She was due in mid-February, but Jones began experiencing contractions early on Wednesday morning while at home on Brussels Circle in Gate City.

Jones called 911 for an ambulance to take her to the hospital. Due to icy conditions, however, the ambulance slid off the road and was unable to continue. Birmingham Police Department dispatcher Keniquia Rutledge, later assisted by paramedics, talked Dobbins through the delivery over the phone.
