Gonzalez-Strength & Associates
Gonzalez-Strength and Associates, Inc. is a privately-held civil engineering firm that offers land planning, surveying and traffic and transportation services. The company is headed by engineer Mark Gonzalez and surveyor Jon Strength. James R. Brown is the firm's president of transportation services.
The firm originated in 1993 as Gonzalez-Webb Engineering. That company merged with Gay, Strength & Associates in May 1998 and adopted its present name in October 2000.
The company's offices are located at 1550 Woods of Riverchase building in Riverchase, having relocated from 2176 Parkway Lake Drive.
The company has been named twice to the Birmingham Business Journal's list of the best places to work, based on employee satisfaction surveys. It has also appeared in the Journal's lists of largest privately-held companies, reporting $15 million in revenues in 2022 and employing 96 people.
