Pike Avenue Baptist Church was located at 2200 Pike Road at its corner with Avenue V in Ensley Highlands. The congregation was established in 1897 and erected a new brick decorated gothic revival building in 1951. After the church closed, the building became the home of New Birth Baptist Church.

A 1948 drawing in the digital collection of Samford University Special Collections shows that the proposed building was an even more elaborate building than acheived. It had a flèche over the crossing and additional gothic auxillary buildings.
