The Anglican Diocese of the South is the regional body of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA) that encompasses Birmingham. The ACNA also has non-geographic units, so not all Birmingham-area ACNA congregations are part of this diocese. It was created on June 9, 2010. It is lead by Archbishop Foley Beach. The diocesan offices are in Atlanta, Georgia.
The ACNA was established in 2009, uniting several conservative denominations that had left the Episcopal Church.
