Birmingham Methodist Protestant Church was organized around 1910 as a mission of the Methodist Protestant Church. It belonged to the denomination's Alabama Conference. By 1916 it had 225 members and 190 children enrolled in its Sunday School. Its church and parsonage properties were worth $15,500.
