Plaque denoting building dedication

The Bevill Biomedical Research Building is a 9-story building located at 845 19th Street South on the UAB Campus. The official groundbreaking was on June 5, 1990 and it was completed in 1993. It occupies the former site of the Biomedical Sciences Building.

It was dedicated on May 11, 1993 and named for Congressman Tom Bevill in recognition of his support for UAB and his many contributions to various research programs.

In 2014, a 37,000 square foot renovation of several floors in the building was completed.
