From across 10th Avenue South in December 2003.

Blount Hall is an 8-story, 513-bed residence hall located at 1001 14th Street South on the campus of UAB. It was developed by the Capstone Development Corporation and completed in August 2001 at a cost of $18 million. The concrete-frame structure was designed by PGAL Architects of Alexandria, Virginia and constructed by Brasfield & Gorrie.

Student rooms are collected into 166 two- and four-bedroom suites, each with two baths. Each suite has a lounge area and full kitchen. Internet, basic cable, and other utilities are bundled with the housing cost.
