Dollar Daze - Bay Minette

Dollar Daze was a small chain of general merchandise dollar stores. The owners and management team was composed of the founders of Bessemer-based Video Xpress.

Several stores were opened in the Birmingham area, managed by Johnny and Brenda Venz. The home office and largest store, located at River Square Plaza in Hueytown, opened in 1998.

Stores were also opened in Bay Minette, Alabama and Pensacola and Naples, Florida. Bill and Kathy Coleman managed the Bay Minette store, Chris Coleman managed the Pensacola store. and Bobby and Ginnie Coleman managed the Naples store.

Bud Coleman provided the capital for the opening of several stores.
