Emma’s Southern Cuisine was a meat and three restaurant located at 838 Odum Road in Gardendale. It was originally supposed to be another location in the Joel's Restaurant chain, but the owners encountered legal problems and were forced to change the name to Joella's and then to Emma’s Southern Cuisine. The grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on May 22, 2019. The restaurant closed on September 28, 2019 and moved to Crossplex Village in Birmingham.
