Located on 2800 Clairmont Avenue, and currently housing offices, the Lakeview School was designed by architects Charles and Harry Wheelock in 1901. When the school first opened in 1901, it housed grades 1-4, and after final construction was completed in 1909, grades 5-7 were added. The first principle of the school was Nannie D. Davis.
