Please forgive my newbiness... this is a crude attempt at an article whose sole raison d'être is to be BETTER THAN NOTHING... No offense is meant to the fine mods of this wiki... it's just that this is the best that I can supply and I'll be doing better as time goes on (and I learn more)...

"Resource Learning Center - Shades Valley Annex" was the official title of a high school located near downtown Homewood, AL in the mid 1980s. It seems to have existed from the late 70s through the early 1990s (that's my guess). After that, it moved and became the now Jefferson County International Baccalaureate School.

During this time, when it was also known as "Shades Valley RLC," it was highly regarded by its students and its teachers.

Here's the best photo that I have to symbolize RLC back around 1982. It's three of my friends in front of the main(/really only) building:

<a href="/w/August_18" title="August 18">August 18</a>, <a href="/wiki/index.php?title=1910&action=edit" class="new" title="1910">1910</a>

(I apologize if this exceeds the copyright boundaries - I'm a BhamWiki newb, but this yearbook photo really symbolizes the moment - I know all four of the guys and the photographer).

If the yearbook photo is a problem, please address it, mods - I'm just now learning. I'm a bit unclear about history vs. copyright on this site since I'm brand new, thanks. I want to provide max info, but I also don't want to get you guys in trouble, so I'll do what you say, thanks.
