Southern Water Company (SWC) was in the purchasing of water and wastewater system in the southeast U.S. Its partner was Azurix Corporation the water services division of Enron Corporation. Today it owns water wells and helps municipalities with the growing number of mandates from government and increasing regulatory requirements. Southern Water Companies approach to public/private partnering and profit sharing has provided the most cost-effective mean to securing much needed capital for improvements and reduce cost over the long term. SWC also has a brand of bottled water sold through Red Mountain Beverage Company.
