The Trussville Fire Department serves the City of Trussville by responding to fires and medical and hazardous materials emergencies. Founded as a solely volunteer force in 1947, by 1998, Russell Ledbetter was hired as chief and the force began to pay its firefighters. The current chief is Russell Ledbetter. As of July 2007, the department consists of 28 paid firefighters and emergency medical technicians and 40 volunteers.
Stations
Trussville Fire Station One
Station One is located at 131 Main Street, as part of the Trussville Civic Complex.
Trussville Fire Station Two
Station Two is located at 7317 Roper Road to serve the eastern sections of the city.
Trussville Fire Station Three
Station Three is located at 8160 Gadsden Highway to serve the northern sections of the city.
