The Uptown Apartments are an apartment complex located at 1517 19th Street North in the Druid Hills neighborhood of the Central City community.

Owned by Hubbard Properties, on September 18, 2006, George Irving Amison, Jr. was killed when a stray bullet was fired from an assault rifle outside the complex. In the aftermath of that tragic incident, the city cited the complex with multiple health and safety violations resulting in condemning of four units. The owners of the complex have until October 30, 2006, to bring the apartments up to code or risk having the city close the complex.
