Anna Laura Bryan
Bryan graduated from Decatur High School. She was competing in the "Spirit Idol" singing competition when a former Miss Alabama encouraged her to pursue pageants. As a high school senior she competed in the "Miss Point Mallard" and "Montgomery Metro" pageants and was named Morgan County's Junior Miss candidate. Bryan was in the top 10 for the Miss Alabama pageant a total of four times. In 2009 she won the Miss Samford University pageant, and in 2010 she competed as Miss Jefferson County, winning the talent preliminary round each year. In 2011 and 2012, she won the overall talent competitions.
Bryan, an opera singer, is a 2012 interior design graduate of Samford University and competed in the pageant as Miss Hoover. Bryan's platform revolves around the charity PAWS For Autism, an attempt to pass a bill in the state legislature to allow children with autism to take therapy dogs to school.
