Bobby Smith

Bobby Smith (born September 12, 1985 in Pensacola, Florida) is a student worship leader at Shades Mountain Baptist Church.

He has a bachelor of arts in music from Samford University, where he was president of the student government association and fronted a band called Smith which won a campus-wide Battle of the Bands in 2007.

In 2009 he was the top "fan favorite" in a national “Celebrate Your Music with Yamaha” contest co-sponsored by Yamaha and Disneyland with a rearrangement of "It's a Small World". He later made it into the top 12 of an international contest organized by the New York Songwriter's Circle.
