The Bruns-Smith Building (formerly the Iron Gate Restaurant) is a two-story frame building constructed at 1806 5th Avenue North in Bessemer in the 1890s. It has been used as a restaurant, boarding house and restaurant.
The building was restored as a restaurant in the 1990s by Herman Lehman, his wife Susan, and his sister Missy. It has since served as a political campaign headquarters and an interior decorator's studio. It currently houses the Acoff Law Firm.
