Irondale United Methodist Church is part of the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church and located at 400 Deering Street in Irondale.

It was organized in 1887 as Irondale Methodist Episcopal Church, South and was known by that name until 1939 when as a result of a denominational merger it became Irondale Methodist Church. At that time it became its own station, having a full-time pastor. It adopted the present name after another denominational merger in 1968.

It constructed its first building at 2009 2nd Avenue South. It met there until moving to its present location on July 13, 1962.

Members of several local United Methodist churches joined Irondale when their churches closed. These churches have included West Woodlawn United Methodist Church, Acipco United Methodist Church, Ruffner United Methodist Church, Overton United Methodist Church, Boyles United Methodist Church, and Grace United Methodist Church.
