Kathleen Costello is the principal clarinetist for the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based IonSound Project.
Costello earned her a bachelor of music from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois and a master of music at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. She has performed as a member of the Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater Orchestra, the Youngstown Symphony in Youngstown, Ohio, the Lancaster Festival Orchestra in Lancaster, Ohio, and the Strings Festival Orchestra in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Costello was named principal clarinetist for the Alabama Symphony Orchestra in 2006.
