Rampart IC is a medical device company that manufactures and distributes adjustable floor-supported radiation protection shields used by interventional cardiologists in operating rooms. The device safely replaces heavy body-worn shielding, reducing physical trauma to surgeons.

The company was founded by UAB cardiologist Bob Foster and industrial designer Tom Livingston and has offices at Hardware Park in Smithfield. It developed its flagship Rampart M1128 model with help from neighbors Push Product Design and Fitz-Thors Engineering.

The Rampart M1128 is marketed worldwide.
