Rosedale Flats was a 16-condominium development proposed by Kent Campbell of Cubed LLC for the Rosedale area. Each 900-square-foot unit would have had one bedroom, one bathroom, and sold for about $175,000.

The condos would have been situated atop a 40-foot bluff above 18th Street South in Homewood, providing views of Vulcan and downtown Homewood. Part of the land was undeveloped at the time, but zoned commercial. Campbell had asked Homewood to rezone this section and vacate 8900 feet of right-of-way to extend 25th Court South to the site. The Homewood Planning Commission endorsed the rezoning in November 2007.

The rezoning request was referred to the Planning and Development Committee where it had ultimately been dropped due to an issue with the right-of-way request. After several hearings with Campbell, the Homewood City Council finally voted to deny the request because of the right-of-way problem on July 28, 2008.
