Teresa Jefferson-Snorton

Teresa Jefferson-Snorton (born 1955) was the presiding bishop of the Fifth Episcopal District of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and chair of the governing board of the National Council of Churches.

She succeeded Wallace Lockett.

She was appointed as presiding bishop of the Fifth Episcopal District in 2011 and elected chair of the National Council of Churches in 2021.

In 2022 she was appointed as the CME’s ecumenical and development officer. Clarence K. Heath succeeded her as bishop of the Fifth Episcopal District.
