Ruffner photo

Thanks so much for stopping in to improve the Ruffner-related articles!. I made an assumption about the photograph you uploaded. I assume you took it yourself and that you intend for it to be available to Bhamwiki users under the site's Creative Commons license. If I have assumed too much, let me know and we'll work it out. --Dystopos 11:10, 17 April 2010 (PDT)

Arbitor of Tone?

Westofheer, you didn't include your e-mail address in your note to me, so I'll respond publicly here.

I apologize if the tone of my comment offended you. I perhaps didn't assume good faith on your part when I should have. It's just that, despite our conflicts of interest statement, we've had managers of buildings post here about their own buildings. Also, some of my article change notes are to greater and lesser extents tongue-in-cheek, which doesn't always come across in the writing (see [1], [2], [3], [4], & [5], although that last one was aimed at myself). It was the repeated use of the word "enjoy" towards the end of your article that made me make the comment. It doesn't strike me as neutral.

Bhamwiki needs people to submit content. We truly appreciate any submissions that are made. But as it says on the [Main Page|main page], "all contributions are reviewed for adherence to our content policy and are subject to correction and expansion by other editors." That's the nature of a wiki. There are articles I've created here that now bear little resemblance to what I initially wrote, and I'm okay with that.

I would appreciate collaboration on the Park Tower article, as opposed to simply re-posting your original text and undoing all my changes, including the resized images that you yourself admitted appreciating and categorization. I've made another pass, keeping a bit more of the information you submitted. Please let me know what you think of it. --Lkseitz 21:59, 2 October 2012 (PDT)

    • I'll just reinforce the importance of working as collaborators rather than as arbiters. No article is the final word until everyone can agree that it is perfect (which is unlikely). Let's agree to keep working together. Specific discussion about the content of the Park Tower article can best be conducted at Talk:Park Tower. --Dystopos 10:29, 3 October 2012 (PDT)
