Avondale Bricks is a one-story retail row located at 130 41st Street South in downtown Avondale. The building was owned for a long time by Franks Brothers Cabinet Works. It was sold in 2006 and underwent as $1.2 million rennovation by new owners Clint Choate of Birmingham and David and Laura Kessler of Gadsden. The building was split into three 1,650- and two 3,300-square-foot office condominiums during the rennovation, which was completed in 2008. Due to that year's economic downturn, the owners attempted to lure potential occupants by offering "lease to own" options.
