The Southside Development Company is a private development partner of the Housing Authority of the Birmingham District, contracted to participate in the overhaul of the Southtown Court housing project as a mixed-use, mixed-income community.

The company is a joint venture of Corporate Realty, Bayer Properties, Brasfield & Gorrie, A. G. Gaston Construction, SPM Property Management, BREC Development and the Benoit Group of Atlanta, Georgia. It was formed in 2016 and registered as a "foreign limited liability company" with the Alabama Department of State. It shares a mailing address with Bayer Properties at 2222 Arlington Avenue.
