George Arthur Atkins (born April 10, 1932 in Birmingham) was a professional football player for the 1955 Detroit Lions. Atkins was drafted by the Lions out of Auburn University, and was a graduate of Shades Valley High School.
Atkins is married to historian and water skiing champion Leah Rawls Atkins.
